Posted

Ring in the new year with a new annual pass to the Licklider Shooting Complex! If you had a 2024 annual pass, it has now expired and you must purchase a new pass for 2025.

Passes cost $40 and cover two adults and any minors living in the same household. Daily passes are also available for $5 per shooter, per day.Annual passes can be purchased online at mycountyparks.comor at the CCCB office located at 629 River Rd, Cherokee, IA.

The Licklider Shooting Complex, located at 5949 Little Sioux Road and managed by the CCCB, offers 25-, 50-, and 100-yard shooting ranges. Users are required to sign in and out when using the complex and pay the associated fees.

Construction is underway on four new trap fields and houses, which are expected to be operational by fall 2025. An archery range is also planned for installation in the summer of 2025, with the complex remaining open during construction.

An annual or daily pass is required to use the property and covers users in any of the shooting areas. Once trap shooting is available, an additional fee will be required to cover the cost of clay pigeons.

The Licklider Shooting Complex is tentatively closed for the months of January and February. It is scheduled to reopen on March 1, weather permitting.
