Allan R. Keck, 69, of Sibley, formerly of Washta, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Sibley Specialty Care Nursing Home.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, Aug. 14, at 11 a.m. at Washta Church of Faith. Ms. Sue Ritts will officiate. Burial will be in Grand Meadow Cemetery at rural Washta. Military rites will be performed by L.A. Wescott Post #2253 and the Cherokee American Legion. Visitation with the family present will be held an hour prior to services beginning at 10 a.m. at the church.

Allan was born on April 21, 1957, to Lloyd and Colleen (Griffith) Keck.
In his younger years, he loved spending time with his dad on the farm helping with chores and the cattle.
He attended Willow Schools, excelling in athletics, especially basketball, where he earned all-conference honors. He graduated from Willow High School in 1975.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged as a disabled veteran.
Allan was blessed with three children: Kayla, Melissa and Josh.
In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with family, going out to eat, people watching, traveling and watching sports and cowboy westerns.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Colleen Keck.
Allan is survived by his children: Kayla (Cole) Lennon of Akron; Melissa Briggs of Cherokee; and Josh (Stephanie) Keck of Washta; 11 grandchildren: Alyssa (Kyle) Pudiwitr, BrookeLynne Lennon, JosiLynne Lennon, Sonnie Lennon, Dominic Foley, Mya Briggs, Lucas Bruening, Jonathan Keck, Stormy Kenkel, William Keck and Charlotte Keck; six great-grandchildren: Blake Pudiwitr, Tyler Pudiwitr, Kaleb Pudiwitr, Natalee Book, Nixen Wurth and Navee Wurth; siblings: Lowell Keck of Trimble, Mo.; Julie (John) Curtiss of Larkspur, Colo.; and Sandra (Kevin) of Bedford; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
