Annette L. Bray, 69, of Cherokee passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026 at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.

Annette was born on Feb. 7, 1956, to Floyd and Margaret (Kohn) Courtright at Cherokee. She attended and graduated from Willow High School in 1974. She worked as a day care provider, worked for Casey's and worked as a CNA and in housekeeping for Pomeroy Care Center and Pocahontas Manor until her retirement. She was united in marriage to Joseph Bray on June 2, 1990 at Twin Lakes.
In her free time, she enjoyed reading and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her father Floyd Courtright; husband Joseph Bray; and brother Mark Courtright.
Annette is survived by her two children, Kelly and Amber Grossenbacher of Fort Dodge; and Patrick and Stephanie Woolley of Palmer; mother Margaret "Midge" Courtright of Storm Lake; grandson Brayden Cundiff of Pomeroy; siblings: Stan Courtright of Waupaca, Wis.; Joe (Nancy) Courtright of Hinton; Mary Jo Mattheis of Bellevue, Neb.; Jim (Barb) Courtright of Burnsville, Minn.; and Holly Williams of Cherokee; sister-in-law Debbie Courtright of Cherokee; also many nieces and nephews.
