CCSD to serve free summer meals

Posted

The Cherokee Community School District is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided, at a first come, first serve basis, at the sites and times as follows:

Cherokee Washington High school commons, 600 W. Bluff Street, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The dates are June 2- June 27. Please come in the front door, and there will be signage there to direct you to the commons, (lunchroom).  There will be bus routes available. These bus routes will be posted on Facebook, the Cherokee schools website and will be emailed to parents as the time draws nearer. This program is FREE to children 1-18 and $3.75 for adults. The lunch meal is eat in only, and there is a breakfast grab-and-go bag available to take with you if you are going straight home, due to containing milk.
