On National Agriculture Day, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) released the following statement recognizing Iowa’s hardworking farmers and producers:
“On National Agriculture Day, I want to thank Iowa’s hardworking farmers and producers for their commitment to feeding and fueling our country and the world. These men and women work long hours, help power our economy forward, and make important contributions that keep our rural communities strong. To support our producers and their families, I am working to pass a five-year Farm Bill, open new export markets for Iowa agriculture, and invest in foreign animal disease prevention, mitigation, and response. I have also introduced legislation to lower the cost of crop insurance for the next generation of Iowa farmers and to permanently repeal the death tax on our family farms. As the only member of Congress serving on both the House Agriculture Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee, I will continue to advocate for our farmers and producers who are the backbone of American agriculture.”
Feenstra is also an original cosponsor of a congressional resolution designating Tuesday March 18, 2025 as National Agriculture Day.
