Thursday, June 26 Meeting

First of all I must tell you we did not have the saddleing of a sow demonstration. Dave The Builder reminded everyone that the Denny’s failed to produce neither the saddle nor the sow. I think Dave the Sturupper had a tear run down his cheek he was so disappointed. As I worked around, there were many  people very disappointed. Hope to get the demonstration at a later date. Will let you know date and time. Maybe next week. Better come and join Kiwanis just in case.

Our day began with another awesome breakfast. Two egg dishes and cookies. Amy you never cease to amaze all of us. Thanks again.

Then we learned about a blond walking by 2 guys assigned to measure a flag pole. She pulls out a wrench, they lay the flag pole on the ground and she measures 30’ 6”. Forman says “just like a blond we want height and she gives us length”. Yikes. That foreman might not be the dumbest person in the world, but he better hope that person doesn’t die.

Nathan Anderson stoped by representing the A-A Community Education Foundation. He was asking for money and support for a very great program. Of course, it was forkids, so we gave them a fist full of dollars. Great organization. Kiwanians love helping kids.

Then came our speaker for the day Tony Agnitch. He is the head dood at the Cherokee County Landfill. Bet you didn’t know some dipsticks put batteries in their garbage, and when the workers hit one it starts a fire. Yikes. They will take batteries, but they must be taken to the office. See what you missed again? His presentation was quite short, but when he opened things for questions, we learned a bunch. Another great speaker you missed. Would be willing to guess you learned nothing today. Join Kiwanis and be informed.

Our business meeting was as usual our business and not your business.

We did however decide to put up the flags right after the meeting next week for the 4th of July holiday. If you are available sure could use your help. Won’t even bug you about  joining Kiwanis. So around 8:30, Thursday, July 3, we are putting up the flags. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The rest of the business meeting is our business. Have a great week, and best to you and yours. Hugs.

NEXT MEETING: Thursday, July 10, at 7 a.m. at Aurelia Community Center.
