Thursday, May 29 Meeting

First of all have to brag a bit. Each Memorial Day we veterans put up small flags and crosses at the cemetery as well as the 121 flags on the Kiwanis walking path.

Due to dwindling numbers we can not do it on our own. Not only dwindling numbers, but many of us are old and crummy, and have been rode hard and put up wet. Many parts of our anatomy don’t function like they used to. Hehe.

So we ask for help from the community, and they respond very well. Point being when we took down the flags and crosses last night, 23 Kiwanians jumped in to help. With their help and a number of other volunteers we did a days work in less than an hour. Yikes

Thank you everyone. Aurelia shines once again.

As the anticipation grew this morning, and the sun shining (finally), Amy shows up with breakfast. What a culinary artist. Wow, it was a feast for the ages. Thank you Amy, you are the best.

How were things at your house? Three year old Cocoa Puffs that didn’t go so good with the milk that poured out in clumps?

First off we learned that a lazy persons favorite work out was doing diddly squats. Great plan. Yikes.

Our speaker of the day was Jolene and Jim Hultgren. Jolene presented a program about their visit to three countries in

Southeast Asia. Bet you wish which countries they visited? Not from this cowboy.

You can tell Jolene was a great teacher because there was not a sound during her presentation. She knows how to keep

things interesting and informative. Thank you both so much. You all missed another great speaker. Ha, ha.

Now down to business:

Following the meeting we are to sort cans and bottles. At 1:00 tomorrow three more trees will be planted along the new section of the walking path. Six of our Kiwanians had an inter club at Storm Lake “High Noon” Kiwanis.

The rest of the business meeting was once again none of your business. We don’t put our nose in your business, so we don’t share all our business.

Become a member and then our business will also be your business.

See you next Thursday morning.

Have a great week.

Hugs.

NEXT MEETING: Thursday, June 12, at 7 a.m. at Aurelia Community Center.
