Mary Lou (Kennedy) Grigsby of Cherokee passed away in Long Beach, Calif., on Nov. 14, 2025.
Mary was born in Cherokee on April 14, 1933. She lived a life filled with love for her girls. She was extremely proud of them. She was a cosmetologist for over 35 years. She excelled at crafting and enjoyed holiday decorating.
She is survived by her daughters: Cynthia Grigsby, Catherine Miller (Robert) and Cristy Renick (Murray); sisters, Karen and Linda; and brother Mike.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Grigsby.
She was the cherished grandmother of Brian Kerr, Kelly Sauve, Scott Miller, Laura Heflin, Patrick Griffith, Steven Griffith and Alexis Griffith.
Mary was also blessed with great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life: Easton, Brooklynn, Makenna, Salvatore, Luciano, Vincenzo, Jace, Alessandra, Xavier, Cameron, Brielle and Evie.
A family service will be held at All Souls Cemetery. A celebration of Mary's life will be at a later date. All friends and family are welcome to gather, share their memories and honor her legacy.
Mary's love and warmth for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
