Michael R. Dailey, 69, of Cherokee passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Unity Point Health in Sioux City.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 22, at Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Pastor Jane Johnston will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee. Michael was born on April 25, 1957, to George W. and Elaine (Flipsey Parks) Dailey Jr. in South Dakota. He graduated from Sutherland High School in the Class of 1975. He was united in marriage on July 3, 1976, to Cindy Robinson. He worked for Heg Painting and Mongan Painting for 30 years and then GCC for eight years before retiring in January 2025.
He was an avid fisherman, enjoying time on the lake fishing. He also enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dan Dailey.
Michael is survived by his wife Cindy Dailey of Cherokee; his two sons, Travis Dailey of Meriden; and John and Nena Dailey of Quimby; two sisters, Patricia Dailey or Remsen; and Deb Dailey of Calumet.
