Meet and Greet with Dr. Lindsay set for September 14 from 3–4 p.m.

Western Iowa Tech Community College’s new president, Dr. Terry Lindsay, visited the college’s Cherokee Campus last week, spending time on campus and connecting with local leadership.

During his visit, Dr. Lindsay toured the campus and met with Western Iowa Tech Board Member Gary Jordan of Cherokee Regional Medical Center. The visit offered an opportunity to learn more about the Cherokee community, its leadership, and the college’s role in the area.

Dr. Lindsay began serving as Western Iowa Tech’s fourth president on July 6. As part of his first 100 days, he has made it a priority to spend time at Western Iowa Tech’s locations and in the communities they serve. He looks forward to more opportunities to connect with Cherokee-area students, families, and community members and to better understand the needs and opportunities within the community.

Community members, students and families are invited to a Meet and Greet with Dr. Lindsay on September 14 from 3–4 p.m. at the Cherokee Campus. The event will also celebrate the Cherokee Campus’s 30th anniversary and Western Iowa Tech’s 60th anniversary.

Guests are invited to stop by, meet Western Iowa Tech’s new president, celebrate these milestones, and enjoy light refreshments. Brief remarks will begin at 3:15 p.m.
