The Barns Museum in Marcus is a unique destination showcasing a vast collection of horse-drawn farm equipment and vehicles.

The museum will be open on Sunday, Aug. 10, from 1-4 p.m.

Run by J.R. Pearson, it features items dating from the mid-1800s to the 1930s, including wagons, plows, grain drills and more.

The collection includes rare and one-of-a-kind pieces, such as a Conestog a wagon jack from 1822 and ahorse-drawn grain drill with original paint and parts.

Many of the artifacts are in working condition, with some still retaining their original paint.

The museum is open by appointment and offers guided tours, with exhibits housed in multiple buildings on the edge of town.
