On April 25 at approximately 8 a.m., the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of an unresponsive elderly male near 440th street and O Avenue in rural Larrabee. When deputies arrived, they located a male subject who was deceased in the Steele Prairie Preserve. This man was Identified as Fr. Paul Eisele of Le Mars.
Cherokee County deputies along with the Cherokee County Medical Examiner's Office completed an investigation and found that there was no foul play involved and that this death was the result of natural causes.
